COMMUNICATION AND OBJECTS
COMMUNICATION
(a) postings on an ADUG owned or controlled website
or, if one is not available, on an Amiga-oriented
website nominated by the Committee;
(b) the use of email;
(c) IRC.
OBJECTS
(a) to provide individuals who reside in Australasia
and who have an interest in the Amiga computer
an opportunity that they may otherwise not have
(because of geographic isolation resulting from
distance and low population density) to become
members of an Amiga User Group;
(b) to encourage the formation of Amiga-oriented
User Groups within Australasia;
(c) to encourage Amiga-oriented User Groups within
Australasia to become affiliated to ADUG;
(d) to establish a communication network for its
Members and for affiliated Amiga-oriented User
Groups;
(e) to act as a central resource for the dissemination
of information relating to the Amiga (including
the publishing of newsletters in any of the
various forms of media, as appropriate) to its
(f) to act as a central resource for assisting its
Members and affiliated Amiga-oriented User Groups
on all Amiga-related matters;
(g) to establish an ADUG owned or controlled website;
(h) to build and maintain a database of Amiga users
and Amiga-oriented User Groups within Australasia;
(i) to assist in the promotion of the Amiga within
Australasia, including the establishment of
Amiga-oriented sub-committees, the formation of
Special Interest Groups (SIGs) and the promotion
of Amiga shows and gatherings of any kind;
(j) to assist in the marketing of the Amiga and Amiga
product within Australasia;
(k) to establish and enforce a code of ethics for its
Members and Affiliates, and to actively campaign
against software piracy and the illegal trading
of Amiga product within Australasia;
(l) to offer to act as a voice for the Australasian
Amiga community in communicating with AMIGA
(the Amiga's parent company) and with other
international and national bodies;
(m) to seek affiliation with the User Group Network
and listing on its website (www.amiga.org/UGN);
(n) To organize and direct such activities as may be
deemed of benefit to its Members and affiliated
Amiga-oriented User Groups or for carrying out
any of the objects stated above.
