AMIGA DOWNUNDER WILL BE AT THE SYDNEY 2002 MAINSTREAM IT SHOW

ARMIDALE, NSW, AUSTRALIA
Friday, 1 February, 2002

Following the highly successful Amiga Downunder (ADUG) initiated Amiga Stand at the ITExpo + COMDEX mainstream IT Exhibition in Melbourne on 5-7 September 2001, it gives me great pleasure to announce that there will be a similar ADUG-initiated Stand at the IT COMDEX & NetWorld+Interop Exhibition to be held at the Sydney Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour, Sydney (Australia) on 5-7 March, 2002.

If the interest shown at the Melbourne 2001 Exhibition is anything to go by (our Stand there resulted in articles featuring the Amiga and Amithlon, the PC-based Amiga emulator, in the January and February 2002 issues of Australian PC User, a major Australian PC magazine), many people visiting our Stand at IT COMDEX in Sydney in March will be excited to learn of the progress that the Amiga is making in its comeback.

What Will People See at the Amiga Downunder Stand? -

That will depend on what's available
- especially when it comes to new product.

As with the Melbourne 2001 show, we will showcasing anything relating to the Amiga, including the new Amiga Operating System (Amiga DE), Amithlon (the PC-based Amiga emulator which not only turns a PC into an Amiga, but hits the accelerator as far as the PC software is concerned as well) and the Amiga DE based Sharp Zaurus PDA (courtesy of Sharp Australia).

They will also be able to renew contact with the Amiga community (both local and global) and possibly even walk away with a Show prize!

We Will Need Help -

Please accept this announcement, no matter where you live, as an invitation to become involved (by way of attendance and by way of financial and/or product support) in our continuing efforts to bring the Amiga - in all its various aspects - back to the Australasian IT community and to the Australasian public.
